KITV4's Brenton Awa has the video that ABC News obtained and ONLY KITV is authorized to show... flying propeller shot You're about to experience what it is like to crash...in an airplane, thanks to one passenger...who had his Go Pro rolling ...when the unthinkable happened! 1903 - 1911 "THE ENGINE JUST MADE A SOUND AND... CLEAN AND THEN IT JUST HAPPENED YOU KNOW." Ferdinand Puentes felt the plane dropping...his stomach went with it, as he looked out...and saw this. 1944 - 1949 "I LOOKED OUTSIDE THE WINDOW AND SAW THE OCEAN WAS COMING PRETTY FAST." Then - impact. At that moment Puentes could think only of his family... and felt his life... hanging by a thread. 2038 - 2050 "I DIDN'T SAY GOODBYE TO THEM, JUST FOR THAT SPLIT NANOSECOND IT WAS AS IF TIME STOPPED AND YOUR WHOLE LIFE GOES BY IN FRONT OF YOU." But Pilot Clyde Kawasaki PULLED OFF an incredible emergency WATER landing -- giving his passengers a chance to escape danger. 2012 - 2017 "JUST AS SOON AS HE OPENED THE DOOR, WATER JUST RUSHED IN AND FILLED OUR FEET UP TO OUR ANKLES." As the ocean filled the plane -- all eight passengers were able to get out safely... Take a close look at the top of your screen as one person dives in. Once outside -- some are seen hanging on. Here is Puentes holding on to a floatation device with another passenger drifting a ways behind him -- roughly half a mile from the Kalaupapa shoreline. The National Transportation Safety Board says the Makani Kai Cessna floated for 25- minutes before it sank. It was headed from Molokai to Honolulu early last month when it's engine lost power just minutes after take-off. The late State Health Director Loretta Fuddy was on that flight -- she was found unresponsive when rescue crews reached her 80-minutes-later. The other seven passengers -- and pilot all survived the ordeal -- something they'll never forget. 2006 "IT HAPPENED SO FAST ITS... SIGH..." We're still waiting for the medical examiners report on what exactly killed Director Fuddy. Meanwhile -- the NTSB is still investigating what caused that engine failure.
